You loved them, we loved them and therefore we are extremely excited to announce that Earanee and Adam will be returning to Rotterdam in the first weekend of May! So whether you missed their November workshops or are simply hungry for more, this will be a weekend not to miss!
A lover of Satchmo and Nat King Cole since childhood, Earanee grew up with an ear for jazz, studying saxophone and jazz vocals at high school. While many flock to Lindy Hop for its high energy steps, it was the swingin’ tunes that reeled Earanee into the dance world in 2010.
She soon began following her love of swing dance around the globe, leaving her home in Adelaide to dance extensively in both Europe and the US. Now a seasoned instructor with experience teaching and competing both in Australia and abroad, Earanee has won titles at numerous events including The Mooche, ILHC, and Lindyfest.
Adam Brozowski is a celebrated voice in the international community, and has been Lindy Hopping since the age of 10. Adam grew up dancing in the energy of the late 90's having had the honor to learn directly from some our greatest legends like Frankie Manning, Norma Miller, Jean Veloz, and the late great Dawn Hampton. Music and history play a huge influence on his perspective as a teacher, while creative expression and individuality are the hallmarks of his dancing. In his classes, Adam strives for a graceful balance between these two beautiful concepts. Adam hopes to inspire others to find the joy and freedom that swing music and dancing can give.
Schedule and level descriptions
11:30 - 14:00 Blue and Above (Lindy Hop, 2h 20 mins + break)
15:00 - 16:00 Solo Jazz with Adam
16:15 - 17:15 Solo Jazz with Earanee
11:00 - 13:30 Invitational (2h 20 mins + break)
14:30 - 17:00 Slow Drag (2h20 mins)
Solo Jazz (1h)
This is not your first time trying Solo Jazz and you know the Shim Sham and maybe even the Tranky Doo. Although not everything looks perfect yet, you are not afraid to bust out a "Shorty George" or "Kick Ball-change" on the dance floor.
Blue and above (2h 20 mins)
You have been dancing for at least one year or more, are familiar with the fundamentals of Lindy Hop and Charleston, including figures such as the swing-out and Tandem Charleston, and can use these moves in social dancing. You are often found on the social dancefloor and your basics are solid, but you know that the devil is in the details (and that's why you are here, right?)!
Slow Drag (2h 20 mins)
In the Savoy, the birth place of Lindy Hop, the dancers used to dance to a wide range of tempos. Want to improve your dancing when things get really slow? Then this is the class for you. Open for all levels.
Registration opens here on Monday 9th of April!
